About Me

I am a creative exploring various mediums, including art, writing, sociology, and website design. My aspiration to be an art curator is rooted in a passion to study art in its sociopolitical context, combining my social sciences background and artistic eye. My work is grounded in research and uplifted by my unconventional thinking. I have three years of work experience in art management, conservation, curation assistance and exhibition planning, which has added managerial and business skills to my skill set. This website is a journey through my personal adventures and professional projects related to art.

Born in a family of writers running regional newspapers, I grew up in a standalone office building. Instead of a playground, there was a printing press with huge, greasy machines and the newspaper's office, with phones ringing day and night. The second floor was my house, but the terrace was always my favourite place. It's where we stored huge rolls of tree paper on which the newspapers are printed.  My fondest childhood memory has to be the smell of unbleached paper and blood rushing excitement in my veins when I sat with a box of oil pastels and drew as far as my hand could reach. It was a very god-like feeling to be able to create as far as the limits of my mind (and height) took me. That’s where art first became a language that supported me through my childhood, mental health struggles, the pandemic and everything that occurred in life, good and bad. To be able to process it, I had to re-create it.

Curation allows me to combine my talents of understanding art, writing and creative direction with my technical skills in conservation, management and public relations, to present art in the most impactful way possible.
